'Christmas Story' Actor Drops Suit Over Figurine

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 3:30 PM EST) -- Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and the actor who starred as bully Scut Farkus in the 1983 film "A Christmas Story" dropped their California lawsuit Wednesday over whether the studio and a toy company created a figurine based on the character without his permission.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul L. Abrams signed off on the stipulated dismissal Wednesday. In their filing, actor Zach Ward and defendants Warner Brothers and Enesco LLC agreed to drop the case with prejudice, with each side to pay its own expenses.
