GAO Favors Awardee In Army Food, Lodging Contract Row

Law360, New York (January 13, 2012, 5:51 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied Freedom Systems LLC's protest of an $11.2 million Army food and lodging contract awarded to Command Management Services Inc., ruling the company failed to submit important documentation, according to a decision published Friday.

Freedom Systems contended its $7.8 million bid for the fixed-price requirements contract was not technically unacceptable, as the Department of the Army held it was.
