Pfizer, Microsoft Team Up In Legal Onslaught Against "Viagra" Purveyors

Law360, New York (February 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Drug maker Pfizer, Inc. and software company Microsoft Corp. have joined forces in a legal broadside against two international pharmacy spam rings operating websites that are accused of selling illegal generic versions of Pfizer's erectile dysfunction drug Viagra.

The two companies have filed a total of 17 new actions against defendants involved in the sale and advertising of “potentially dangerous medications,” the companies said.
