DOD Lifts Limit On Defense Items Made In UK

Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 10:19 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense on Tuesday temporarily lifted a federal acquisition limit for a range of defense items procured in the U.K., in a move aimed at maintaining a balanced exchange of military items with the U.K. government.

Frank Kendall, DOD undersecretary for acquisitions, signed off on a Federal Register notice granting a waiver for electronic navigation systems, steering controls, gyrocompasses and other items manufactured in the U.K.
