Limiting Liability For Replacement Parts

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 1:38 PM EST) -- The California Supreme Court published its awaited decision in O’Neil v. Crane Co., Case No. S177401, addressing whether the manufacturer of a piece of machinery can be held liable for injuries alleged to have occurred as a result of exposure to asbestos from replacement parts added to or used in conjunction with the product after it left the custody and control of the manufacturer.
