Top GOP Lawmaker Tied To Countrywide VIP Loan

Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 10:29 PM EST) -- Former Countrywide Financial Corp. CEO Angelo Mozilo may have personally intervened to give a top Republican lawmaker a favorable home loan, according to a letter released Tuesday by the ranking member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

The letter, released by Rep.
