9th Circ. Will Rehear Real Estate Co.'s FOIA Suit

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 3:56 PM EST) -- The Ninth Circuit on Wednesday agreed to rehear arguments in a public information and privacy dispute between a Hawaiian real estate company and the federal government, vacating its own June decision that found the government had wrongly withheld requested records.

In Wednesday's order, the three-judge panel gave no reason for its decision to reconsider its earlier opinion, but said it would release another order with a date for arguments and outline of the issues that will be addressed.
