US Firms Plan Class Action Over Costa Concordia Wreck

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 8:40 PM EST) -- Two U.S. law firms are reportedly planning to file a class action against Costa Cruises Group in the U.S. on behalf of the passengers of the Costa Concordia, which ran aground off the coast of Italy this month.

Italian consumer advocacy organization Codacons and New York-based personal injury firm Proner & Proner plan to file a suit in Miami — where Costa's parent company, Carnival Corp., is headquartered — by Wednesday, the BBC reported Friday.
