Supplement Maker Slams 'Lawyer-Driven' False Ad Suit

Law360, New York (January 24, 2012, 7:23 PM EST) -- Supplement maker Supple LLC sought Monday to dismiss a putative class action that alleges the company falsely advertised its glucosamine combination supplement by touting its ability to improve joint health with no research to back the claim.

The complaint filed by Arleen Cabral in California federal court claims that Supple's infomercials and online ads for the supplement misled a class of consumers by claiming to alleviate joint pain.
