Weil Aids Private Equity Firms In $750M Aerospace Co. Sale

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 2:45 PM EST) -- An aerospace equipment manufacturing company owned by private equity firms Berkshire Partners LLC and Greenbriar Equity Group LLC has been purchased by Cleveland-based TransDigm Group Inc. for $750 million, the buyer announced Wednesday.

TransDigm said it had reached a definitive agreement to purchase AmSafe Global Holdings Inc. from a private equity group controlled by Berkshire and Greenbriar in an all-cash transaction.
