Motorola Goes After IPhone 4S, ICloud In Newest Patent Suit

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 3:19 PM EST) -- Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. fired off a new patent infringement suit in Florida federal court Tuesday targeting Apple Inc.’s iPhone 4S and iCloud software, the latest maneuver in an intellectual property battle between the two companies over wireless and smartphone technology. 

Motorola says its newest suit against Apple was lodged after a judge ruled the telecommunications giant had missed a deadline in an ongoing, related suit to bring new infringement claims over the iPhone 4S and iCloud.
