JPMorgan, McCarthy Grab Calif. Office In Landmark Deal

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 9:39 PM EST) -- The asset management unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and building manager McCarthy Cook & Co. have teamed up to buy a San Francisco office complex for an undisclosed amount north of the $415 million first reported, a McCarthy spokesman told Law360 on Wednesday.

The joint venture acquired the China Basin Landing property from the California Public Employees' Retirement System in a private deal that closed Dec. 4, according to Richard Hayes, the Northern California leasing director for McCarthy. The deal is the biggest sale of...
