NY Atty Extradited Over Alleged Immigration Scam

Law360, New York (January 25, 2012, 10:38 PM EST) -- The New York attorney accused of leading an immigration fraud scheme with employees of his law firm has been extradited from Canada after allegedly accepting millions of dollars from tens of thousands of illegal immigrants, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Earl Seth David, known as Rabbi Avrahom David, took in as much as $30,000 per client and filed immigration applications using fabricated employer letters claiming to sponsor those clients for immigration visas, according to a superseding indictment unsealed in October, when David was arrested in Canada.
