New Bills Aim To Steer More Contracts To Small Business

Law360, New York (January 31, 2012, 7:51 PM EST) -- The chair of the U.S. House of Representatives' Small Business Committee floated a pair of bills Tuesday that would help steer more federal contracts to small companies by upping the government’s small business contracting targets and increasing advocacy for small companies.

Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., introduced the Government Efficiency Through Small Business Contracting Act and the Small Business Advocate Act, two bills he says will steer billions more federal contracting dollars to small companies and create jobs with small employers.
