No Bail For Exec In DuPont Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (February 1, 2012, 5:22 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Wednesday refused to grant bail to a U.S. executive allegedly involved in a scheme to steal DuPont Co.’s secret paint pigment process for rivals backed by the Chinese government, saying the man was a flight risk.

Spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office Jack Gillund confirmed that U.S. District Judge Nathanael M. Cousins had denied Walter Liew’s motion seeking to vacate an August detention order.
