GAO Denies STG's Protest Over $56M Army Task Order

Law360, New York (February 7, 2012, 4:09 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has rejected contractor STG Inc.’s protest over a $56.2 million task order awarded to a competitor for military support in Korea, ruling the U.S. Army had justified paying more than STG had bid, according to an opinion released Tuesday.

STG's competitor General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. will bill $1 million more than STG would have charged, but the Army made a well-reasoned decision to pay more for GDIT's proposal, according to the GAO ruling, originally issued Jan. 12 but not released...
