Developer's $144M Award Stands In Hotel Deal Fight

Law360, New York (February 7, 2012, 11:58 PM EST) -- A California appeals court on Tuesday confirmed a $144 million arbitration award for L.A. Pacific Center Inc. in a long-running dispute over its purchase of Las Vegas hotel properties from now-bankrupt Hotels Nevada LLC in 2004.

A three-judge panel for the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate District, rejected Hotels Nevada owner Louis Habash's appeal of the 2009 arbitration decision.
