Google Pledges To Maintain Motorola's Patent Practices

Law360, Los Angeles (February 9, 2012, 3:30 PM EST) -- Google Inc. said in a letter to industry standard-setting organizations Wednesday that it will continue to honor Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc.’s current patent licensing practices if its deal to acquire the company wins regulatory approval.

In a letter sent to the president of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Google said it will continue issue licenses on the Motorola patents on a fair and reasonable basis.
