Apple Says Motorola's iPhone Claims Breach Licensing Deal

Law360, San Diego (February 10, 2012, 9:50 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. on Friday fired off a declaratory judgment action in California federal court alleging Motorola Mobility Inc.’s patent claims against its iPhone 4S in litigation in Germany breach a licensing agreement struck between Motorola and Qualcomm Inc.

Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple and its Irish unit, Apple Sales International, are asking the district court to block Motorola from prosecuting and enforcing its claims in Germany.
