'FarmVille' Maker Zynga Zinged With Patent Suit

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 4:43 PM EST) -- A patent licensing company on Friday launched a suit in Texas federal court accusing social game developer Zynga Inc. of violating four technology patents through its popular social networking games.

Texas-based Personalized Media Communications LLC claims that many of Zynga's online games, including "FarmVille," "Mafia Wars" and "Words With Friends," infringe patented technology that controls various aspects of the games' operating functions.
