Truckers’ Calif. Meal Break Action Preempted By Fed. Law

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 3:19 PM EST) -- A California federal judge last week tossed a putative class action against Performance Food Group Inc., saying the meal break claims of three ex-PFG truck drivers were preempted by federal law and setting the stage for an appeals court showdown.

U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Nguyen dismissed the drivers' case with prejudice on Feb. 8.
