2nd Circ. Orders Ex-DHB CEO To Pay Legal Fees

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 3:19 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit on Tuesday ordered the founder of body-armor maker DHB Industries Inc., who was convicted of insider trading in 2010, to pay more than $220,000 in fees to his former attorney.

David H. Brooks, who is awaiting sentencing on charges he looted his former company through a $189 million fraud, had fought the fee request by his former attorney, Richard Ware Levitt, on procedural grounds, but he did not dispute that he owed Levitt $224,956.16. Brooks is scheduled to be sentenced April 20....
