UBS Pays $1.4M To End OT Dispute With Technicians

Law360, New York (February 14, 2012, 6:26 PM EST) -- Swiss bank UBS AG received approval from a New York federal court on Tuesday for its settlement with a class of technical support workers over missed overtime pay, agreeing to shell out $1.4 million to the employees to cover alleged unpaid wages.

The settlement resolves a row in which employees in UBS' technical support department claimed they were misclassified as exempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York labor law, and deserved pay for extra hours they worked.
