Feds Extend Foreclosure Review Deadline By 90 Days

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 2:44 PM EST) -- Federal banking regulators on Wednesday gave homeowners who feel they were victims of faulty foreclosure practices an additional three months to seek a review of their cases, which was a key part of an April settlement with 10 major banks.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve said that homeowners now have until July 31 to submit their cases for a hearing before the Independent Foreclosure Review, a body created as part of an April settlement...
