Mergermarket Accuses Cantor Fitzgerald Of Lifting Articles

Law360, New York (February 16, 2012, 1:34 PM EST) -- Mergers and acquisitions news service Mergermarket Ltd. launched a copyright infringement suit in New York federal court Tuesday accusing brokerage Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. of copying and distributing its articles without permission.

The complaint targets Cantor, its managing director Anthony Reiner and unnamed brokers who allegedly shared unauthorized copies of Mergermarket's dealReporter articles. The suit also names as a defendant the company's parent Cantor Fitzgerald LP.
