Texas Instruments Seeks To Join Rambus Case

Law360, New York (July 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Semiconductor maker Texas Instruments Inc. is looking to join Rambus Inc.’s memory chip patent suit to keep parts of a licensing agreement with defendant Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. confidential.

TI asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Friday to intervene in the case so that it can seek a protective order preventing private financial and royalty terms of a license deal between it and Samsung from being disclosed.
