Union Seeks Dismissal Of Its Organizers' FSLA Suit

Law360, New York (August 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Labor union UNITE HERE has asked a Manhattan judge to throw out a collective action suit that accuses the union of running afoul of federal law by misclassifying its organizers and failing to pay them overtime, arguing that union organizers are exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
