Retailer's Claims In LCD Antitrust MDL Time-Barred

Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 5:18 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Thursday tossed Tweeter Home Entertainment Group Inc.'s claims that LG Display Co. Ltd. and others conspired to fix liquid crystal display prices, supporting the multidistrict litigation defendants' argument that the electronics retailer had delayed too long in bringing its suit.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston dismissed Tweeter's price-fixing allegations, saying that the bankrupt retailer had failed to explain why it was entitled to a tolling of the statute of limitations.
