Texas Tech Coach Fumbled Hedge Fund Client Money: Suit

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 12:50 PM EST) -- A hedge fund managed by the head football coach of Texas Tech University misused $1.8 million in client money while falsely promising safe returns, according to a suit filed Friday in Alabama federal court.

The complaint was brought by seven individuals who invested in TS Capital Partners, a commodities pool operator co-founded by Tommy Tuberville, who is entering his third season as coach of the Red Raiders.
