US Will Finalize $25B Mortgage Deal Soon, HUD Chief Says

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 4:56 PM EST) -- Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan told a U.S. Senate panel Tuesday that final documents related to a $25 billion settlement with the nation's top mortgage servicers would come later this week, even as Republicans criticized the deal.

In testimony before the Senate Banking Committee, Donovan said that documents related to the settlement would be filed in the coming days now that all final details have been ironed out.
