Havensure Drops Prudential Claims In Antitrust MDL

Law360, Los Angeles (February 29, 2012, 9:14 PM EST) -- Havensure LLC on Tuesday dropped claims that Prudential Insurance Co. of America improperly interfered with attempts to broker insurance on behalf of Carlson Cos. Inc. by turning over confidential information to a rival, paring down multidistrict antitrust litigation against numerous insurers and brokers.

Tuesday’s order granting Havensure’s request to dismiss the case without prejudice marks the end of claims that Prudential violated Ohio competition laws by interfering with the 2004 Carlson insurance brokerage deal, two years after the Sixth Circuit nixed another Havensure business interference suit...
