Home Depot Pays $1.6M To Send Vacation Pay Row Packing

Law360, New York (March 1, 2012, 1:36 PM EST) -- Home Depot USA Inc. on Wednesday agreed to pay $1.6 million to settle a class action claiming the home improvement retailer failed to fully compensate employees for earned vacation pay after their employment was terminated.

The former employees filed a motion asking a California federal court to preliminarily approve the settlement, under which Home Depot will pay $1.6 million to resolve the dispute brought by more than 1,300 ex-associates whom Home Depot terminated from August 2006 up to the present.
