Sandra Bullock Targets Watch Co. Over Use Of Name In Ads

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 12:55 PM EST) -- A watchmaker that markets one of its timepieces as worn by Sandra Bullock in her Academy Award-winning performance in "The Blind Side" was sued Thursday in California by the actress, who alleges the company has falsely associated its products with her to capitalize on her fame.

Bullock's lawsuit alleges that ToyWatch USA, along with several vendors of its watches, has used Bullock's name, image and persona in advertisements that draw a connection between its products and the actress despite no promotional agreement existing between the parties....
