Citigroup Call Workers File Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (August 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- CitiGroup Inc. on Thursday was hit with its third purported class action lawsuit this year alleging unpaid overtime, this time on behalf of employees working in its call centers.

The suit was filed by Tolanda Osby, a former CitiGroup employee who worked in a call center in Kansas City, Mo. from early 2003 to June of this year, on behalf of call center workers nationwide.

CitiGroup's company-wide policy only counts time when employees are ready to take calls as part of their 40-hour work weeks, and...
