Ongoing Deepwater MDL Claims Could Net Feds $21B

Law360, New York (March 4, 2012, 4:31 PM EST) -- The $7.8 billion settlement BP PLC and plaintiffs’ lawyers proposed Friday is expected to resolve most private claims in multidistrict litigation over the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, but the company still faces government claims that could cost it $21 billion or more.
