Jury Finds Consultant Guilty Of Skimming $1.7M From NYC

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 6:33 PM EST) -- Former New York City Department of Education consultant Willard “Ross” Lanham was convicted Monday of skimming $1.7 million from city projects to fund his upscale tastes.

A Manhattan jury found Lanham guilty of four counts of theft and fraud. The former consultant was arrested in April and charged with running a complicated scheme to steal money meant for top Education Department initiatives.
