ViaCLIX Targets Netflix's Website In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 1:39 PM EST) -- Software application developer ViaCLIX Inc. sued Netflix Inc. in Delaware federal court Tuesday, claiming that the company infringes a channel-based Internet network patent through the operation of its website.

ViaCLIX's complaint targeted Netflix, which bills itself as the world's leading Internet subscription service for movies and TV shows, as the sole defendant, and asked for unspecified damages and injunctive relief.
