Ticketmaster, Redbox Accused Of Infringing Web Patent

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 5:32 PM EST) -- Ticketmaster LLC and Redbox Automated Retail LLC were hit with suits Wednesday over their alleged infringement of a patented website technology, becoming the latest high-profile targets of patent holding company Patent Group LLC.

Patent Group filed the cases in Texas federal court, where several other companies have recently faced lawsuits

accusing them of violating the same patent. Esurance Inc. and video-streaming service Hulu LLC have been targeted, as have restaurant chains Cheddar’s Casual Cafe and James Coney Island.
