LCD Consumers Worry Joint Trial Will Confuse Jury

Law360, New York (March 9, 2012, 6:53 PM EST) -- Consumers suing liquid-crystal display manufacturers for price-fixing are worried that trying their case together with direct purchasers would confuse jurors with conflicting evidence about how much of the overcharge was passed on, and asked a California federal judge Thursday to split the litigation into two trials.

As the parties gear up to go to trial in late April, the indirect purchaser plaintiffs also moved to present their case before the direct purchaser class, arguing that because they're pursuing more defendants — both classes are seeking billions...
