Sam's Club Shoppers Get Class Cert. In False Service Plan Suit

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 3:29 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey federal judge granted class certification Monday to a group of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. customers accusing the retail giant of selling service plans on “as-is” items at its Sam’s Club big-box stores despite the products being explicitly excluded from coverage under the plans.
