Guidant Can't Kill $726M FCA Suit Over Implant Claims

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 1:56 PM EDT) -- A whistleblower on Wednesday defeated a bid by Boston Scientific Corp. and its Guidant LLC unit to dismiss his complaint in Minnesota claiming Guidant — which copped to related criminal charges — caused the U.S. to pay $726 million in false claims for defective cardiac implants.
