Labor Dept. Hits Pilgrim's Pride With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Labor filed a lawsuit on Monday against poultry processor Pilgrim's Pride Corp. over more than $3 million worth of back wages the agency says current and former employees are owed.

The complaint alleges that Pilgrim's Pride is in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act for failing to pay proper overtime wages and keep adequate records since Aug. 6, 2005.
