Employers Beware: Unpaid Interns Ready To Cash In

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 7:40 PM EDT) -- Three recent wage and hour class actions accusing big-name media and entertainment companies of misclassifying workers as unpaid interns to cut costs could be just the tip of the iceberg, lawyers say.

PBS talk show host Charlie Rose on Wednesday became the latest target of plaintiffs firm Outten & Golden LLP's campaign on behalf of unpaid interns, joining media conglomerate Hearst Corp., which was sued by the firm in February, and Fox Searchlight Pictures Inc., which was sued Sept. 28.
