Avaya Plunks Down $230M For Israeli Videoconference Co.

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 3:23 PM EDT) -- Private equity-owned business communications giant Avaya Inc. has expanded its videoconferencing division with a $230 million deal to acquire Israeli visual communications specialist Radvision Ltd., the companies said Thursday.

New Jersey-based Avaya will pay $11.85 per share for all of Radvision's outstanding shares, a 57 percent premium over the stock's 90-day average trading price, according to parallel statements the companies issued Thursday.

The cash deal is expected to close in approximately 90 days, subject to Radvision shareholder approval, the company said.
