L-3's $3M Fight Over Navy Contract Sent To Mass.

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 4:06 PM EDT) -- L-3 Tactical Systems Inc. saw its lawsuit against the U.S. government moved out of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Thursday after a judge ruled the $3 million dispute over a $29 million maritime contract belonged in Massachusetts federal court.

The lawsuit accused the U.S. Navy of breaching its contract with L-3 for improvements and modifications on its Sea Fighter vessel by reducing the contract value from $32.6 million to $29.4 million. The Navy later rejected L-3's invoice for $3.2 million, the amount that could...
