Judge Calms Discovery Quibbles In E&Y Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge in the wage-and-hour proposed class action that accuses Big Four auditor Ernst & Young of misclassifying employees and not paying them overtime has struck a compromise between both parties' demands in their escalating spat over discovery requests.

Judge Howard Lloyd of the northern California district court on Tuesday heard lead plaintiff David Ho's motion to compel the accounting firm to hand over more information on the putative class members' time records. On Wednesday, he granted the motion in part and denied it in part....
