Spectra's $1B NJ-NY Pipeline Passes Enviro Check

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 6:01 PM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday gave environmental clearance to Spectra Energy Corp.’s planned $1.2 billion pipeline to bring natural gas through New Jersey to Manhattan, moving the project a step closer to full approval.

FERC concluded in a final environmental impact statement that the pipeline’s adverse effects on the environment would be limited and that Spectra’s proposed mitigation efforts would help minimize damage to natural resources.
