High Court Won't Hear Brocade Exec's Appeal In Fraud Case

Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 7:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal from former Brocade Communications Systems Inc. CEO Gregory L. Reyes, who faces 18 months in prison and a $15 million fine for convictions related to backdating of stock options at the data storage firm.

In rejecting Reyes’ petition, the high court let stand a Ninth Circuit opinion in October that concluded no prosecutorial misconduct took place during the onetime chief executive’s trial.
