Judge Melds 3 Frito-Lay False Ad Actions In NY

Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 3:37 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday consolidated three proposed class actions accusing Frito-Lay North America Inc. of falsely marketing its chips as "all-natural" even though they were allegedly made with genetically modified ingredients.

Two of the suits, brought by plaintiffs Julie Gengo and Valarie Zuro, were originally filed in December in California federal court, but the parties agreed to transfer them to New York in February. They joined a suit in that court filed in January by Brooklyn resident Chris Shake.
