LA County OKs Housing, Senior Center In Marina Del Rey

Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 7:23 PM EDT) -- The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a long-term coastal development plan for Marina del Rey, the unincorporated park and harbor town southwest of LA, making way for the construction of a new apartment complex and senior center.

The county's approval of the final amended California Coastal Commission plan for the area established a more “holistic” process for seeking development approval on the county-owned parcels surrounding the harbor, said Carol Baker, a spokeswoman for the County Department of Beaches and Harbors.
